B.Com. (Bachelor of Commerce)
The Department of Commerce was established in 1999 with the introduction of the Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) programme. Over the years, the department has grown steadily to meet the changing demands of higher education and the evolving business environment.Currently, the department is strengthened by a dedicated team of 20 qualified and experienced faculty members and serves a 500 vibrant students community.

Teaching–Learning Practices
The department adopts a student-centric teaching approach that blends theoretical foundations with practical exposure. Innovative teaching methods such as case studies, presentations, group discussions, project work, and ICT-enabled learning are regularly employed to enhance conceptual understanding and application skills.
Value-Added Activities
To bridge the gap between academia and industry, the department organizes:

Student Development and Extension Activities
The department encourages holistic development by motivating students to participate in:

Career Guidance and Professional Development
The department places strong emphasis on career readiness. Students are guided and motivated to pursue professional courses such as CA, CMA, CS, ACCA, and MBA. Regular career guidance programmes are conducted with the support of experts from reputed institutions and organizations. Coaching and orientation sessions are also provided for competitive examinations.
